2007 Warriors Tournament Results

Championship Sunday...

The past four years, Warriors teams have placed either 1st or 2nd in more than 100 tournaments. Listed below are victories for the 2006-07 season - what we like to call "Championship Sunday."

10U Warriors Take 2nd in Splendid Splinter Tourney

November 18, 2007: Congratulations to the 10U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 2nd place finish at the Triple Crown Splendid Splinter Tournament in Euless, Texas.  The 10U Warriors went 2-2 during a cold weekend, losing to the Dallas Patriots 5-4 in the Championship Game.

10U Warriors Win Triple Crown State Tournament

October 28, 2007: Congratulations to the 10U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 1st place finish at the Triple Crown Fall State Tournament in Flower Mound, Texas. The 10U Warriors went 3-1 for the weekend, defeating the Cedar Hill Rangers 12-4 in the Championship Game.

12U Warriors Place 2nd at Wood Bat Tourney

October 14, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Smith) for their 2nd place finish at the Little Heroes Wood Bat Tourney held in Dallas. The 12U Warriors went 3-1 for the weekend, losing to the Dallas Mets in Sunday's championship game.

8U Warriors Finish 2nd at Tara Sawyer Tourney

October 7, 2007: Congratulations to the 8U Flower Mound Warriors (O'Rear) for their 2nd place finish at the 6th Annual Tara Sawyer Invitational Tournament in Desoto, Texas. The 8U Warriors went 4-1 for the weekend, losing to the Generals in Sunday's championship game.

14U Warriors Take 2nd at Tara Sawyer Tourney

October 7, 2007: Congratulations to the 14U Flower Mound Warriors (Landers) for their 2nd place finish at the 6th Annual Tara Sawyer Invitational Tournament - National division. The 14U Warriors went 3-2 for the weekend, losing 7-6 in the championship game against the Dallas Tigers.

12U Warriors (Jackson) Win Tara Sawyer Tourney

October 7, 2007: Congratulation to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jackson) for winning the National Division of the Tara Sawyer Tournament in DeSoto, Texas. The 12U Warriors finished the weekend with a 4-1 record. In Sunday's bracket play, the Warriors defeated the Dallas Stars (15-7) and the Lone Star Rebels (13-5) on their way to the championship game. In the final game the 12U Warriors defeated the Dallas Mets 8-5 to take home the tournament title.

9U Warriors (Hall) Place 2nd at Lone Star Classic

Sept. 16, 2007: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (Hall) for finishing in 2nd place at the Lone Star Classic (Super Series tourney) in DeSoto, Texas. The 9U Warriors went 4-1 for the weekend and lost to the McKinney Marshals in the championship game.

9U Warriors (Hall) Win Matt Dozier Tourney

Sept. 23, 2007: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (Hall) for taking 1st place at the Matt Dozier Benefit Tournament (USSSA) in Grand Prairie. The 9U Warriors finished the weekend with a 4-1 record and beat the Coppell Crush 26-11 on Sunday in the Championship game. The lumber was on fire as the 9U Warriors scored 98 runs in just 5 games.

12U Warriors Take 2nd in USSSA Tournament

Sept. 23, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jackson) for their 2nd place finish in the Matt Dozier Memorial Tournament played in Grand Prairie. The 12U Warriors finished the weekend with a 2-2 record. They received the 2nd place award after playing the Dallas Stars in a Championship Game

14U Warriors Win Triple Crown Fall Tourney

Sept. 2, 2007: Congratulations to the 14U Flower Mound Warriors (Landers) for their first place finish at Triple Crown's Labor Day Classic played in Coppell. The 14U Warriors finished the weekend with a 2-2 record, beating the Apaches 13-1 in Sunday's championship game.


2006-07 Season Tournament Wins Most in Flower Mound Warriors Baseball Club History

Tournament wins and second place finishes for all Flower Mound Warriors teams ages 7U through 14U for the Fall 2006 through Summer 2007 seasons are listed below. In all, Flower Mound Warriors teams placed 1st or 2nd in more than 20 USSSA, Super Series or Triple Crown tournaments for the 2006-07 season.

12U Warriors Take Platinum 3rd at AAYBA Nationals

July 28, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jacobsen) for their 3rd place Platinum-level finish at the AAYBA World Series tournament held in Flower Mound, Texas. The 12U Warriors finished 3rd in the Platinum level of play, the highest competitive level in the tournament. The 12U Warriors went 6-1 for the national championship week, finishing third out of a 40-team field.

July 14, 2007: At the American Amatuer Youth Baseball Assn. (AAYBA) Nationals held in Flower Mound, Texas, the Flower Mound Warriors 10U (Hill) team achieved great success by placing 2nd in the Platinum division, the highest level of play at the AAYBA nationals. The 10U Warriors went 5-1-1 for the national championship week, losing to The Pack, a strong team out of Houston. Congratulations to the 10U Warriors.

8U Warriors Finish 1st in Triple Crown State Tourney

July 15, 2007: Congratulations to the 8U Flower Mound Warriors (Hall) for their 1st place finish in the Triple Crown State Championship tourney in Grapevine. The 8U Warriors finished with a win-loss record of 5-1 and defeated the McKinney Marshals 8-1 in the championship game. Going into nationals, the 8U Warriors are 45-16 for the 2006-07 baseball season (17-2 in the Fall and 28-14 in the Spring).

10U Warriors Take 2nd at USSSA Major State

June 24, 2007: Congratulations to the 10U Flower Mound Warriors (Hill) for their second place finish in the 10U Major USSSA North Zone Tournament. The 10U Warriors finished the state tournament with a record of 4-1, losing to the Texas Crush in the championship game. The 10U Warriors (Hill) finished their season ranked second among all 10U Major teams in North Texas. For complete tournament results, click HERE.

7U Warriors Take 2nd in Colleyville Invitational

June 17, 2007: Cogratulations to the 7U Warriors (O'Rear) for their second place finish in the USSSA Colleyville Invitational tourney.

12U Warriors Take 1st at McKinney Battle of Bats

June 12, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Warriors (Williams) for their first place finish in the USSSA McKinney Battle of the Bats tourney held in McKinney, Texas. The 12U Warriors finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.

12U Warriors Place 2nd in Super Series State

June 10, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jacobsen) for their second place finish in the Super Series 12U American State Tournament held at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney. The 12U Warriors (Jacobsen) finished the state tournament with a record of 5-1, losing to the Arlington Heat in the championship game.

13U Warriors Take 2nd at Triple Crown Tourney

June 2007: Congratulations to the 13U Flower Mound Warriors (Landers) for their second place finish in the 13U Division 1 Triple Crown Metroplex Memorial Weekend tourney held in Flower Mound.

9U Warriors Finish 2nd at 10U AA Super NIT

June 2007: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 2nd place finish in the USSSA Dallas Super NIT 10U AA tourney. The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 3-2-1, losing to the Southlake Dragons-Black 14-13 in the championship game.

9U Warriors Win 1st at Champs of Diamond Tourney

May 2006: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 1st place finish in the USSSA 10U AA Champions of the Diamond tourney. The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 5-0, beating the Texas Trophy Hunters 11-4 in the championship game.

12U Warriors Take 2nd at USSSA State Qualifier

April 29, 2007: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jacobsen) for their second place finish in the USSSA 12U Major tournament held at BBI in Mesquite. The 12U Warriors finished the state qualifier tournament with a record of 5-1, losing to the Texas Tornado in the championship game.

9U Warriors Win North Richland Hills NIT

April 2007: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 1st place finish in the USSSA North Richland Hills NIT.  The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 5-0, beating to the NEO Stars 12-8 in the championship game.

9U Warriors Place 2nd in a 10U Spring Tourney

March 2007: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 2nd place finish in the USSSA SWC pre-season 10U AA tourney. The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 4-1 losing to the Cedar Hill Rangers 13-11 in the championship game.

12U Warriors Go Wild at Wood Bat Tourney

Nov. 3, 2006: Congratulations to the 12U Warriors (Williams) for their 1st place finish in the USSSA AAA Wood Bat Tourney at Little Hero's Ballpark in Dallas. The 12U Warriors (Williams) went 3-0 for the weekend to run the table on Championship Sunday!

12U Warriors Take 2nd at USSSA Fall North Zone Tourney

Nov. 3, 2006: Congratulations to the 12U Flower Mound Warriors (Jacobsen) for their second place finish in the USSSA 12U Major Fall North Zone Tournament held at BBI in Dallas. The 12U Warriors finished the state tournament with a record of 3-1, losing to the Texas Tornado in the championship game.

9U Warriors Take 2nd in North Zone Fall Tourney

November 2006: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 2nd place finish in the USSSA Fall Zone North Zone tourney. The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 2-1-1 losing to the Cedar Hill Rangers 15-8 in the championship game.

13U Warriors Finish 2nd at Fall 2006 Tara Sawyer

October 2006: Congratulations to the 13U Flower Mound Warriors (Landers) for their second place finish in the 5th Annual USSSA Tara Sawyer Invitational tourney held in Desoto.

9U Warriors Win Tara Sawyer Tourney

October 2006: Congratulations to the 9U Flower Mound Warriors (King) for their 1st place finish in the 6th Annual USSSA Tara Sawyer Invitational tourney held in Desoto. The 9U Warriors finished the tournament with a win-loss record of 5-0 beating the Irving Canes 7-3 in the championship game.
