Let's face it - we all do. There is no doubt about it, playing Baseball at the highest levels costs more than playing in a local city league. While the bulk of our money goes to pay for Tournaments and Gate fees, each Team requires uniforms, equipment, and insurance - while the Organization requires the tools and supplies to maintain its practice fields and facility.
As a 501c Non-Profit Organization, the Flower Mound Warriors choose not to employ any personnel. For the most part, our coaches dedicate hundreds of hours each year for two reasons only: the Love of the Game, and the players they have the opportunity to teach. This concept has continued to build highly competitive teams - while charging significantly less money than most of the teams we play against.
That said, the Warriors also defray between 1/3 and 1/2 of the yearly costs thanks to the support of our Sponsors (see separate Tab), and through the means of a number of annual Fundraisers. Each year, our Players and Parents work hard to provide the financial resources which enable the Warriors to compete against some of the best teams in the country.
Its nearly time to kick-off the Flower Mound Warrior Annual Flower Fundraiser! Information packages will be presented shortly. This year we will be posting the artwork here on the web site as well. So call your relatives in Tyler, your friends in Tulsa, and those acquaintences in Temple - have them check out our web site. Buy some Flowers. And help out a Ballplayer...
OK Warriors! It's time to sell! The 2009 Flower Fundraiser documents are provided below. As in years past, the cost is $20 per flat. Each flat contains (20) 4" flowers - all of the same type. Please collect money at the time of order, and submit it with your order form. Both cash and checks (made out to the Flower Mound Warriors) are acceptable. We ask that you provide all Fundraiser information to your Team Representative by February 27th. The tentative delivery date will be April 2nd (weather permitting).
Let's make the world a prettier place - and fund a few tournaments!
The Flower Mound Warriors Annual Golf Tournament held Friday, November 7th at Bridlewood Golf Club, was a tremendous success - as a total of 118 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day, and had a great time. Thanks to all of the baseball teams that were able to get the golfers to nearly sell out the tournament, and the more than 80 prizes for raffle. Special thanks to all of our sponsors, and to Anthony Musacchio with Syracuse Sausage for providing the sausage cookout prior to the tournament, and to Dean Mazzola who hit a ton of drives on the "Buy a Drive" at hole #6.
The tournament scoring was based on a gross score with the first place team of Chris Holt, Chris Weber, Tim Karlen and T.K. Lawless shooting 18 under par for a 54. The second place team of David Pair, Steve Pratt, Greg Garcia and Darren Hall shot a 17 under 55. The third place team of Mark McMillan, Isaac Henson, Mark James and Kris Williams shot a 15 under 57. The Longest Drive was won by Kyle Martin, and the Closest to the Pin was won by Allen Muchinski.
